My designation for Friday afternoon was the Kuwait National Museum. This museum was a short walk from my hotel and according to the hotel in-room guide and website – it opened at 4:30pm on Fridays.
Off I went to walk along Arabian Gulf street to take me to my destination!
After a 10 minute or so walk I knew I was close!
I followed the arrow and turned right……
And discovered the building and surrounding area under heavy construction and completely closed.
Empty parking lot.
The Boom Al-Muhallab dhow boat hidden within the construction.
The main entrance is dug up.
This unexpected outcome is all part of the unexpected in traveling… so now what to do? I decide to start walking back to the hotel to take a look around the area!
