I like this rule – because I believe a wee bit of jealousy is healthy in a relationship.
Within the many dynamic fibers woven into the matrix of a marriage is the expression of making each other feel the ultimate special.
You are important to me, I value you and I will show you this, each and every day.
A wee bit of jealousy feels protective of that specialness; I don’t want someone else making my husband feel special.
But it is just a wee bit of jealousy…to let my husband know I am not complacent, I notice him and how very special he is to me.
Jealousy is a big topic that has many layers, many complexities that would merit a longer, in-depth blog. But, I believe the essence of this rule is not complex. I believe the essence of this rule is vulnerability. My wee bit of jealousy indicates I am vulnerable enough to admit I feel insecure of another woman and don’t want to lose you to her because you are so special to me.
This rule is lovely because of the vulnerableness about it.
We should always value what we hold dear to our hearts.
