I know that no matter how busy my husband is with life, he will make time for me.
In this crazy busy, super distracted world we live in of instant gratification and information overload, there is such a warm embrace knowing my husband is willing to stop whatever he is doing to make time for me.
Me, on the other hand, not so easy.
Transitions are difficult for me.
I tend to hyper focus and get lost in something and have a difficult time moving away from it until it is finished.
I’m task driven. If I have a list, I will not stop until it is done.
While this is a great skill to get tasks accomplished…sometimes it appears that I am too busy for my husband. I don’t mean to be…I just can’t stop what I’m doing sometimes…
Michael, on the other hand can have 10 tasks simmering on the proverbial stove, and happily stop stirring one pot and move to the another.
I can’t even imagine that!!
He explains that is why it is so easy to stop what he is doing for me, and it is a blessing but also a curse; not all pots get stirred, ingredients burn and some of the recipes might not be completed.
