A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away….
I was 8 years old when A New Hope was originally released in theaters. I don’t remember watching the movie in the theatre. What I do remember is how I felt after I watched the movie!! I was TOTALLY excited!! I remember these three exact things:
- I wanted to marry Han Solo
- I wanted my very own Chewbacca
- I wanted to wear my hair in cinnamon buns, just like Princess Leia’s hair!
I did marry a rogue, handsome pirate type!
I have tried to wear my hair in cinnamon buns! 🤣
I’m still in search of a wookie!!!
I am truly a fan of the original three Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. These movies shaped my childhood, and are a part of me.

I remember seeing the movie in the theater with my good friend and my Dad. While we really didn’t want to see some weird movie (our thinking before we saw Hans Solo!) but we loved it and I’ve been a fan every since…and I feel the same way as you do! They are a part of my childhood and of me too! 🙂 I bet we can agree they make us – JOYFUL! LOL
