Half Marathon Training – Week 10 – Plantar Fasciitis Continues to Halt Running & Finding My Exercise Groove During These COVID-19 Days

28 Weeks to Half Marathon

My goal is to run the Valley Harvest Half Marathon, on Sunday, October 11th in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. 21.1km.

Sunday – Bike Ride Along The SeaWalk

The SeaWalk is a beautiful stretch along Campbell River’s eastern shore with a view of Quadra Island and the Coastal Mountains of British Columbia’s mainland.

Monday

Monday was an ambitious day of both a cardio workout and a bike ride!!

This was a bike ride along Dogwood Street! Rabbits make a regular appearance along the street, and there are great views of the Coastal Mountains too!

Tuesday – Thursday – Cardio!

Friday – Cardio & Walk

Saturday – Day Off

Indoor – Low Impact, High Cardio Exercise Video

This week, my husband and I started to enjoy exercising to Body Project’s exercise video on Youtube. We laugh and sometimes curse because the standing abdominal exercises and squats are brutal!!!

Musings…..

I find myself getting into the morning cardio exercise groove. As well, I’ve decided Sunday would be my long bike ride day! If I were back to running, Sunday would have been my long run day – so I am now replacing it with biking!

Last Week’s Goals

  • Continue daily practice of following the low impact, high cardio aerobic workout on Youtube with Body Project –
  • Bike an hour each day – and explore Campbell River – Nope – not each day!!!
  • Attempt yoga… again!! ☺️🧘🏼‍♀️ – Nope – not at all!!
  • Practice gratitude each day for my health and the continuing health of my family and friends. ❤️ 🙏🏻 –

This Week’s Goals

  • Continue daily practice of following the low impact, high cardio aerobic workout on Youtube with Body Project
  • Sunday – Will be Long Bike Ride Day
  • Practice gratitude each day for my health and the continuing health of my family and friends. ❤️ 🙏🏻
