Day 9 was bittersweet because this would Michael and I’s last time together until March, over Spring Break. Since November, he’s been on the West Coast of Canada – British Columbia, getting the house ready to sell in the spring. I’m on the East Coast of Canada – Nova Scotia, back to work and where we will settle down after our repatriation from the Middle East.
Morning Run
My morning run through La Crucecita down to Chahué Bay was beautiful as sun rose to start the day…
Bahías de Huatulco International Airport
The drive to the airport was quiet. We were both tired out, as travel does, and a little out of sorts that we were separating. Like my flights from Halifax to Huatulco, I was upgraded to Business Class again. My fights from Huatulco took me to Mexico City, then Montreal and finally Halifax. I checked in first, through domestic flights. Michael’s first flight was international, direct from Huatulco to Calgary, with two more flights from Calgary to get him home. His flight was later than mine, therefore his international gate was not yet open.
Once past all the check points, I settled in for a bite to eat. Soon after, Michael and I spotted each other and had a few more precious moments before my boarding began!
See you in March, Bubby!! <3 <3 <3
Adiós por ahora…
