Huatulco, Mexico – Day 7 – Copalita Town – Nope, A Papaya Farm!

Shoutout!! Thank You Ullas!!

Fellow blogger, Ullas helped me identify it was a papaya farm we stumbled upon, not a mango farm!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Looking For the Town of Copalita

After a visit to Rio Copalita, or Copalita River, we eventually turned off the main highway, and headed north in search of the town of Copalita.

Do We Take the Right or Left Turn?

Our new Canadian friends and tour guides, Patricia and Joel – P & J were familiar with Huatulco, as they had been vacationing here for a few months already. Joel wanted to show us Copalita, a town that’s outside of the touristy norm.

Finding it was a bit trickier than expected, a few wrong turns were made as we traveled through a small village to find the town…

Maybe This Way!

We came to a crossroads along the Copaltia River, and picked the road along the river. It was a scenic drive with a bit of local traffic. We stopped for a Joel and Michael “siesta” – wink wink – while Patricia handed out candy to local children. <3

Papaya Farm!

We came upon a papaya farm. It was agreed we took the wrong road at the crossroads. We turned around, and headed back to where we started.

Back Where We Started!

Next stop….The lighthouse by La Entrega!

Buenas tardes!

S, 🙂
