Half Marathon Training – Week 2 – Goal – 6km Goal Achieved

36 Weeks to Half Marathon

My goal is to run the Valley Harvest Half Marathon, on Sunday, October 11th in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. 21.1km.

First a Flu

This week started off with recovering from a weekend flu. I decided that Sunday would include running as well as my snowboarding lessons. But this Sunday I was shut down with a flu. Monday, I pushed myself out the door for a run! This was the first time I’d run my Highway 14 laps in the daylight!!

Monday – Thursday – Progression to 6km

Friday = Freezing Rain Storm and a Cold

I was shut down from running on Friday from a cold I had been fighting all week, that came on full-force this day and a freezing rain storm. Saturdays are my one day-off of exercise.

Saturday – Day Off

Total Kilometers: 22.36km

Goal This Week

My goal this week is to hold at 6km and increase my speed!
