My First 5km Run – Acadia University Indoor Track

Today I ran my first 5km! My pace was SUPER slow!! But hey, my goal at this time is reaching a distance and developing my mental grit to have the inner tenacity to push me to 21.1km!!! My pace will increase over time!

Goal – Half-Marathon – Valley Harvest Marathon

My goal is to run the half-marathon – 21.1km on October 11th at the Valley Harvest Marathon.

I’ve 10 months to get myself ready!!! I’m very grateful to have the support of the Mountain View Runners group on Facebook! These runners are SO positive, inspiring and motivating!! I’m so grateful to be a part of this fantastic running group!!

So here I go!! One run at a time, one day at a time!!!

  2. Oh wow, this is a great goal!! I am way behind here, so am looking forward to catching up with your running journey 🙂 Funnily enough, my lockdown achievement has turned out to be taking part in the Couch 2 5K programme. It’s aimed at those who have done no running before and by the end of the 9 week programme you will hopefully be able to run for 30 mins..I’ve got 1 week to go and it’s been a great way to motivate me to get outdoors.
