Just For Today – I Will Be Grateful For My Many Blessings

I’m sitting here, right now in the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, on my way to Huatulco, Mexico.

I’m sipping a glass of Pinot Grigio. I’ve had eggs benny.

At 3:00am this morning I received a call from Airbnb that they cancelled my reservation in Mexico because the location is not available. My taxi to the airport was picking me up at 4:00am! No worries, I quickly booked a better Airbnb suite at a reduced rate! It cost a bit more that the canceled location, but hey, shit happens!!

I’ve just had a hug from Shanelle, a student who once went to a high school I worked at and now works here with Air Canada!

2019 - December 26th - Halifax Stanfield Airport - Shanelle and I

My Georgian tour guide and friend, Dachi, just messaged me saying hello and Merry Christmas! Dachi was my tour guide around this time last year. After Michael and I returned from our 2018 Christmas Mediterranean cruise, Michael returned to work. I still had time off so I went to Georgia for a whirlwind tour of this once state of the Soviet Union, that kicked off my 2019 year!!!

I’ve lots of love messages from friends located all over the world…who are just a Facebook message away!!!

The airport is starting to come to life now. I’ve been here since 4:30am! My flight has been delayed…no worries because my next stop is Toronto for 15 hours or so!!!

Just for today, I am so grateful for the choices I’ve made in my life. I’m grateful for risking everything to gain everything. I’m grateful for my struggles, my grit and my heart that soars with so much love.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

S, ❤️
