Just for today (well everyday!), I am grateful for my husband’s love for me.
Love is a funny thing. Not funny as in humor – funny as in I don’t know the real thing until I work at it. Maybe funny isn’t the best word, perhaps mysterious or curious would be better. Because love doesn’t just happen. It takes a lot of work to discover what authentic love is as it evolves and deepens.
What is Love?
Love is a Felt Experience
Love isn’t taught, it is modeled because love is a felt experience.
Love looks and feels so very different from person to person, depending on how it is modeled. But, in the end…love is the same. The journey is the mystery.
The meaning of love, what love is has been reflected on since the time of Jesus.
Love is even defined in the bible, in the well known Corinthians passage:

There is much more I could write about love this morning, but am now running late to get ready for work, and have to stop writing. I want to publish this blog this morning because this is for my husband, my life partner, my soul mate, my best friend, Michael… I love you. I am so grateful for you…
S, ❤️
