My morning walk to the island’s South Beach to snorkel had two delightful surprises of a large grey heron and a white-breasted waterhen! I later learned the white-breasted waterhen is the national bird of the Maldives!
A funny selfie that I didn’t know I took of myself as I checked out the temperature of the water!
I made my way to swim under the overwater villas, where other snorkelers recommended I try.
Unfortunately, once again the currant was strong – pulling me so much so I had to grab on to the villa’s infrastructure to stay in one place! The most beautiful fish I think that morning were there school of batfish!
Beautiful Maldives!!
