Tbilisi, Georgia – Cable Car Ride to Narikala Fortress & View of Old Town Tbilisi

Cable Car Ride

This day I learned that the view of Tbilisi from Narikala Fortress is referred to as Old Town Tbilisi.

Dachi and I rode a cable car up to the fortress.

When you exit the cable car, you don’t enter the fortress – you enter an area just to the right of it.  Here you have lots of locals selling souvenirs, a fabulous view of Old Town Tbilisi and further down the walkway is the twenty meter aluminum statue of Mother Georgia – Kartlis Deda.

This view is looking towards Freedom Square.

This is no sleepy little town. Old Town Tbilisi looks huge from the fortress. 😳The Peace Bridge is really neat, as well as all the other items you mentioned.😍 Nice photos! xoxo
