Saturday was hobby day!
I dropped Michael off at Skydive Qatar for his afternoon of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! I took these pictures leaving the drop zone, just as a load of jumpers were coming in for a landing!
Fuwairit Beach
Next I made my way to Fuwairit Beach!!!
Since my driving videos were popular!! I made more!!

Now it is time to kayak!!! Swells had a swell paddle because of the swell!

Old building fascinate me, so when I saw your pictures of the old houses I did a bit of research. I stand corrected if this is not right … I think they are heritages properties( inherited by the family) with a panoramic view of the ‘souq waqif’ which have the traditional Qatari look. Also a lot of these properties are for sale, or sold and destroyed to put up newer constructions. It would be nice if a few were bought and renovated …. just as a reminder of days gone by.
Souq waqif is a traditional Middle Eastern market located in downtown Doha. So perhaps the buildings your speak of are located in the Msheireb area of Doha. This is an area being “gentrified” to maintain tradition but be more modern – with a view of the neighboring souq.
The buildings in the picture are located on the northern tip of the country itself in an area called AL Shamal. It is true that some are being destroyed – to be replaced by newer buildings that look just like the older buildings. And perhaps some are being renovated too! 🙂
Sea and Sky….Michael jumping out of a perfect plane… oh my nerves 🙂 And Stephanie on the most beautiful water. Swells having a Swell paddle because of the Swell! Gotta love it. Love hearing your voice as you go over the bumps and avoid deep sand to go Kayaking. Wish our old RV was parked next to those 5th wheels. 🙂 xoxoxoxo
