Tonight is Garangao. This is a traditional children’s party celebrated at Iftar (the breaking of the fast) on the 14th night of Ramadan, when half of the fasting month is over. Garangao is celebrated in the Persian Gulf region. There are Garangao celebrations all over Doha tonight where children sing special songs, visit neighbors and friends gathering sweets and nuts, and enjoy many other activities.
Today, I received this Garangao goodie bag of candy, chocolate and nuts from a wonderful Qatari mom!!! Thank you Mai!!!
