We arrived in St. John’s and settled into our AirBnB on Penny Lane.

We didn’t have much of an itinerary except to hike along Signal Hill and visit the last two days of the George Street Festival.

Downtown St. John’s is the heart of the area – to see the Jelly Bean Houses  and visit George Street to eat at one of the many bars, pubs and restaurants that line the two block radius.   Signal Hill is close by and can be seen from the waterfront of St. John’s Harbour.

While enjoying local seafood and beer a local told us to visit Quidi Vidi as well……….

The BEST seafood crepe I’ve ever tasted at the Express Cafe at the corner of New Gower & Queen Street. It ain’t no express cafe if one certain waitress is working….we didn’t return because she is just SO SLOW and uncaring in her service……
