Coming to you live from Phuket, Thailand!

I’ve been awake since 4:40am yesterday, Thursday morning and have since then worked, home to meet Michael to get a taxi to the airport, have flown on three airplanes with (of course) a few glitches along the way when transferring from plane to plane!!  Seems our luggage arrived all the way to the Phuket International Airport while we had to check in at Bangkok!  Anyway…… good news is that we have our luggage and Oman Air and Bangkok Air do not break guitars (private joke for Michael’s cousin Dave Carroll!)

Exhale…..actually I’m quite relaxed after a long swim in the warm waters of the Andaman Sea off of Karon Beach.  Then after inhaling delicious shrimp spring rolls, chicken skewers with peanut sauce and fried rice with seafood served in a pineapple boat, my husband and I then walked along the main street up from our hotel to check out the area, then stopped in for a wonderful, hour long Thai massage.

The Thavorn Palm Beach Resort is an aging hotel with a quaint, old world charm. Engulfed in beautiful gardens with large, traditional Asian statues hidden within like thieves or mystic creatures; these  creatures also adorn the five pools scattered around the grounds! Oh, and Karon Beach is just across street at the back of the hotel!!

Now, after more shrimp spring rolls and chicken skewers…and adding more delicious food of a bowl of Tom Khar Gai soup and a plate of Gai Phad Med Ma Muang…..it is 8:19pm Friday evening and time for bed!!!!!!!
