Muttrah Corniche
The Muttrah Corniche runs along al Bahri Road.
I’ve read on the Internet that this corniche is about 3km long. Not sure of this accuracy, but it is an enjoyable walking distance.
There are many shops along the way, including the entrance to the Muttrah Souq.
A curious discovery was the white concrete, tubular shaped stones, for lack of a better description, that line the waters edge along a portion of the corniche. I was not able to find any information about them on the Internet, as my description might be incorrect.
The corniche lends a nice view of Port Sultan Qaboos, a port for cruise ships to dock, as well as a dock for the Sultan of Oman’s private yacht, Al Said.
